No Surprises Act
You have the right to know how much your health care will cost. This is called a "Good Faith Estimate (GFE)."
Under the law, health care providers are expected to provide clients who are not using health insurance or who do not have insurance, an estimate of what they will be charged for all services.
Information about the cost of the service will be provided orally and in writing when a client schedules. This is expected to happen at least one day before the dates of service. You may also also for this information at any time.
Your Good Faith Estimate will also be provided through the client portal, after being provided orally. You will be asked to please sign this electronic form and print or take a picture of it for your records.
Uninsured or self- pay clients may dispute their bill if the cost of service substantially exceeds the GFE. "Substantially exceeds" means an amount that is at least $400 more than the expected charges provided in the GFE.
