Experience & Professional Background
I believe in a client-centered therapy approach that focuses on developing positive coping skills and setting realistic goals. I incorporate mindfulness to help clients become more aware of their experiences and stay present in all situations. Mindfulness has been proven to reduce anxiety and improve self-empowerment, making it a valuable tool in therapy.
I currently work at Christiana Care as a psychiatric social worker in the emergency department, where I assist the crisis team with traumas and psychiatric emergencies. In addition to my clinical work, I have also been a professor at three universities, teaching counseling and psychology courses.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and my master’s degree from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Having spent most of my life in Delaware, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, and playing golf. I also love traveling and have a goal of visiting all the national parks in America.
