Jordan Gerecke is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Delaware. Jordan earned her Master of Social Work from Widener University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor’s in Human Services from the University of Delaware. Jordan also spent two years in Jewish Family Service’s Fellowship Program, receiving 200+ hours of post-graduate training in multiple therapeutic approaches.
Experience & Professional Background
I have experience working in outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings with individuals, families, and groups facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and caregiving stress.
I take a client-centered, strengths-based approach, incorporating concepts from ACT, CBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. I am also a Certified Religious Trauma Therapist and am currently undergoing training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy). I am passionate about creating a safe space for each of my clients to share their unique experiences and needs so that I can help them build lives that center around what matters most to them.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family—including my two cats—practicing yoga, reading, and exploring new creative outlets.
